A Nissan SUV traveling south on Main Street from Collins Avenue, in Orange, was struck by a train on Saturday, Feb. 12, just after 1 p.m.

The male adult driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was ejected from the vehicle onto the sidewalk and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The Orange Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team investigated the collision.

Main Street was closed in both directions from Collins to Alvarez for approximately 4 hours.
