On Friday, a man broke into a building located in the strawberry fields near Jeffrey and Barranca according to the Irvine Police Department.

When the police officers arrived, the man found himself in a real jam and ran from the building into the strawberry field.

The officers quickly picked the suspect out of the field. The 18-year-old from Irvine was booked at Orange County Jail on a basket of charges, including burglary.

The Irvine Valley College Police assisted on this call.
