Santa Ana Police Detectives are looking for suspect who exposed himself to a young female after breaking into her home.
On Saturday morning, June 9, 2018, at 4:05 a.m., a resident saw two suspicious subjects possibly breaking into a car in the 18200 block of Santa Arabella Street in Fountain Valley, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.

Two armed-robbery suspects, Mondher Arredondo, 33, and Angellia Lopez, 24, were arrested Monday morning, June 11, after leading police on a chase from Garden Grove to Los Angeles County, according to the O.C. Register.
The Garden Grove police were contacted at about 12:30 a.m. about an armed robbery near Harbor Blvd. and Quatro Ave. When the officers arrived at the scene they ended up pursuing the suspects as they fled in their vehicle onto the Westbound 22 Freeway then onto the I-405. Continue reading

COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Costa Mesa Police Department (CMPD), along with the California Highway Patrol, will be conducting a driving under the influence (DUI) and driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. within the city limits.
DUI checkpoints like this one are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests, affording the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence. Locations are chosen with safety considerations for the officers and the public. On May 30, 2018, about 6:28 PM, several residents called to report a possible injured male that was lying in the street. Officers from the Moreno Police Department responded to investigate. Upon their arrival, they located an 86 year-old Hispanic male adult lying in the street with severe injuries.
The investigation revealed the victim was assaulted by a family member, who was detained at the scene. The suspect was identified as 40 year-old Alvaro Gutierrez of Santa Ana. Gutierrez was arrested at the scene and booked for suspicion of attempted murder and elder abuse. Continue reading

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) convicted eight men in May 2018 of loitering with the intent to commit prostitution or agreeing to engage in prostitution. The defendants in these cases approached a woman whom they believed to be a prostitute, or loitered in areas known for prostitution and human trafficking in Orange County. Each of the defendants below agreed to engage, or loitered with the intent to engage, in commercial sex with a woman and were subsequently arrested by law enforcement.

Logan James Cunningham, 29, a Long Beach man who got into a fistfight with another man who angered him by stepping over his laptop, then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, 40-year-old Jason Paul Torres of Costa Mesa, was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder, according to the O.C. Register.
Cunningham and Torres were partying with other friends at a Santa Ana motel when Cunningham told everyone not to step over his computer laptop. At that point Torres did exactly that, according to the prosecutor. Continue reading
Steve Rodriguez, a 60-year-old homeless man, was identified by the SAPD as the alleged robber who was shot by an unidentified customer at the Cozy Corner Drive-In restaurant just past midnight this past Saturday, according to the SAPD.
On 05-26-18 at 12:46 a.m., SAPD police officers were dispatched to 426 N. Harbor Blvd. reference a robbery and shooting that had just occurred. A Male/Hispanic/Adult later identified as suspect Steve Rodriguez entered the Cozy Corner restaurant and was in the process of committing an armed robbery with a black revolver. During the robbery a silver Honda Accord occupied by several subjects was stopped in the drive-thru lane by the window. An occupant in the vehicle shot robbery suspect Rodriguez twice in the upper torso. Suspect Rodriguez was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The suspect and vehicle involved in the shooting of Rodriguez fled the scene southbound on Harbor Blvd. Officers were able to obtain surveillance video of the incident. Continue reading
