The Irvine Police are targeting a man who damaged a parking structure arm

On July 16, a man lifted a traffic control arm in an east city parking structure likely to bypass the payment terminal, according to the Irvine Police Department.

The forceful movement of the arm and vehicle contact with the arm caused $700 in mechanical damage to the traffic control arm and it’s machinery.

While the suspect concealed his identity during the incident, he was captured moments earlier walking into the structure.

Detectives are looking into the car involved, but it is not registered to this man.

The suspect appears to be African American. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt with white letters on it, black pants and tennis shoes. He had quite a few gold necklaces on and had an Edgar-style haircut.

If you can help to identify this vandalism suspect, please email wakraus@cityofirvine.org.
