Benjamin Kelleher arrested for robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Fountain Valley

On 10/21/24, police officers responded to Wells Fargo located at 10060 Slater Ave., regarding a robbery that just occurred. The suspect presented a note to a teller which indicated he had a gun, according to the Fountain Valley Police Department.

The teller complied with the written demand and the suspect fled the location on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was later identified as Benjamin Kelleher, 34, of Fountain Valley.

On 10/24/24, Officers located Kelleher and he was detained without incident. FVPD Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. During their investigation, Detectives located and recovered some of the cash stolen by Kelleher during the robbery.

Kelleher was booked into Orange County Jail for PC 211 – Robbery.
