Police officers got a call after hours reporting suspicious activity at a local business, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.

The officers quickly responded. Before the suspect could take a car off the lot, the officers detained him.

Turns out the arrestee came from Los Angeles and was prepared to steal a car or two, as he had high-tech burglary tools in his possession.

Great arrest by the Costa Mesa graveyard shift officers, who arrested this man for attempted vehicle theft.
