(Santa Ana, CA)– The OC Health Care Agency, Environmental Health Division, has closed the open coastal area from Victoria Beach to Goff Island Beach in Laguna Beach due to a sewage spill.

The sewage spill of approximately 1,964 gallons was caused by a blockage in a sewer main in Laguna Beach.

The affected ocean water area will remain closed to swimming, surfing, and diving until the results of follow-up water quality monitoring meet acceptable standards.
