Santa Ana animal cruelty suspect arrested after turning herself in to the police

The suspect that appeared to run over a puppy today in Santa Ana, on purpose, turned herself into the police at the front lobby of the SAPD’s headquarters, according to the SAPD.

The suspect, a woman, was arrested and booked at the Santa Ana Jail and is now facing animal cruelty charges.

The puppy is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect appears to be Hispanic and is very short. The arresting police officer towered over her. She was wearing salmon colored exercise pants and a gray top. She had her brown hair tied up in a bun.
