The Pinkberry at the City Place in Santa Ana has closed, according to the O.C. Register.

The City Place lost two other restaurants last year – zpizza and McCormick & Schmick’s.

Pinkberry bills themselves as the original tart frozen yogurt brand from Los Angeles CA. They started in 2005, and have grown to 21 countries in just 10 years.

Pinkberry’s prices are fairly steep. There are two frozen yogurt shops at the MainPlace Mall, which is located across the street from the City Place – Yogurtland and Tutti Frutti.

Pinkberry’s Santa Ana customers weren’t always happy, according to Yelp. One Yelper noted that “the selection of flavors that they have is limited; there are usually only 5-6 flavors. Flavors change from time to time. The number of toppings they have is limited as well.”

The City Place is located at E. Memory Lane and Main St., in Santa Ana. The shopping center is anchored by Mother’s Market.
