Earlier this week, patrol officers responded to a sexual assault incident involving a woman with her children, according to the SAPD.

The victim reported that the suspect approached her on a bicycle while she was walking through the parking lot of a supermarket; he sexually assaulted her and attempted to pull her daughter away before fleeing.

Our officers broadcasted a description of the suspect to other SAPD units, leading to his quick arrest nearby.

Further investigation revealed the suspect was a parolee and had victimized two other women earlier that day.

This incident highlights the outstanding efforts of our officers in partnership with our community to help make this arrest.
