(ORANGE COUNTY, CA) – Criminal attorney Pete Hardin was charged with adultery by the Marines, among other charges, and was eventually allowed to resign in lieu of a court martial according to military corruption whistleblowers.
The claims about Hardin first appeared in a military corruption news site on May 6, 2021. At that time, the author explicitly gave Hardin the opportunity to respond to the claims and offered to correct the record if any of the information was inaccurate.
Since then, Hardin has failed to respond to those allegations or deny any of the other specific claims.
In addition to charges Hardin faced in the Marines, numerous other seriously troubling claims about Hardin appear in the news site. Orange County voters deserve to know the truth about who Pete Hardin is, and what he has done.
“It appears the same individual who is trying to parachute into Orange County and turn us into Los Angeles may also have some serious moral character flaws, or worse,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer.
“The whistleblower allegations are consistent with what has been shared with me directly by individuals who worked with Pete Hardin while he was on probation at the DA’s office,” Spitzer continued. “Hardin resigned from his position in 2014, shortly after admitting some of these allegations to his colleagues.”
“Hardin doesn’t belong within 1,000 feet of a school, let alone the District Attorney’s office, if these allegations are true. I am calling on Pete Hardin to come clean and tell us the truth about his past and these very serious claims,” Spitzer concluded.

Present your evidence from the USMC that he was investigated by the JAG Corp. can you produce his DD-214? Can you produce a witness who is willing to testify under oath? How could he pass an FBI background check to work as a SAUSA for the United States Attorneys Office after these allegations took place? Let’s see what you got. Put up or shut up.

You need to be very careful about language. These are allegations against Hardin, and nothing more. They are “alleged”, and you, as a journalist should be using that term. I must tell you that, as a former Special Assistant United States Attorney from 2015-2017, Mr. Hardin was subjected to a vigorous FBI background check. Do you actually believe that the Bureau would not have contacted the USMC and the JAG to determine the reason for his leaving the Corp? And what does it indicate in terms of his discharge on his DD-214? Some Twitter blogger with a following picks up on a seven year old rumor of an alleged whistleblower who has not come forward, has not filed a lawsuit, nor has presented any credible evidence of misconduct, and suddenly that is a reliable source? Even in this era of gutter politics, proliferated by people like trump, the 1st Amendment is not a shield against libel and slander. There are many people who have worked with Pete Hardin through his career, from the JAG, to the OC DA, to the U.S. Attorney, the law firm, Greenburg, Gross, et al. A little investigative reporting might result in determining whether this political hit piece released by the Spitzer campaign has any merit, or should be retracted.

Todd Spitzer is a Shyster and a criminal. He has sexually molested his own female staff and allowed a senior ADA to grope a 16 year old intern. He is a disgusting piece of work. He bullied and harassed Seal Beach widower Paul Wilson incessantly until Wilson sued him.
Spitzer regularly encourages and promotes #prosecutorialmisconduct and conceals felony records of manufactured witnesses from the defense. He allows his line prosecutors to lie to judges and juries. He employs a “conviction QUOTA” that essentially forces Defendants to go to Trial to prove their Innocence. The Constitution has it the other way around “Innocent until proven guilty”.
