An unidentified woman was arrested after a police pursuit that started at a parking lot in Mission Viejo. The woman was caught on video apparently crashing her car into multiple cars at a business parking lot.

The woman also endangered bystanders who were trying to stop her from hitting their cars.

The eyewitness video captured a man and a woman having to dodge the woman’s vehicle as she drove right at them.

In total the woman crashed into at least five vehicles before she fled from the scene.

The Orange County Sheriff Department sent deputies to respond at the scene to the hit and run reports. The Deputies got there in time to spot the suspect’s vehicle. They they tried to pull her over but she sped off onto the 5 Freeway.

The CHP took over the pursuit and they were eventually able to arrest her on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and felony vandalism.

No injuries were reported stemming from the woman’s wrecking car rampage.

Investigators so far do not have a motive for the woman’s and it was not known if controlled substances were involved.

The suspect’s name was not immediately released.
