An unnamed male suspect was arrested in Lake Forest on Monday, May 22, for allegedly crashing a car into a home and then threatening two people with a pickaxe, according to the O.C. Sheriff.

The suspect’s Kia sedan crashed into the front yard of a home at the 2200 block of Robin Street. The driver then got out of his vehicle and used a pickaxe to threaten two people at the residence.

The responding deputies subdued the suspect by using less-than-lethal weapons.

The suspect was hospitalized and treated for a head injury that was a result of the crash.

The suspect’s name was not released on Monday pending his release from the hospital. He will likely be identified after he is be booked and processed.

The OC Sheriff stated that no one else was injured in the crash or by the pickaxe and the man is not thought to have any connection to the people at the home he crashed into.
