MAN TO BE ARRAIGNED FOR CONTACTING 13-YEAR-OLD FEMALE TO COMMIT SEXUAL OFFENSE

SANTA ANA – A man is to be arraigned today for contacting a minor female he met online to commit a sexual offense. Jordon Michael Bresyn, 22, Buena Park, is charged with one felony count each of arranging to meet a minor with the intent to commit a sexual offense, contacting a minor with the intent to commit a lewd act, and sending harmful matter to a minor. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of five years and eight months in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. The defendant is being held on $200,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned today, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, in Department CJ-1, Central Jail, Santa Ana. The time is to be determined.

In late December 2013, Bresyn is accused of finding 13-year-old Jane Doe on a dating website and contacting her.

Between Dec. 31, 2013, and Jan. 16, 2014, Bresyn is accused of finding Jane Doe’s profile and cell phone number online and texting her. The defendant is accused of asking Jane Doe her age and knowing she was 13 years old. Bresyn is then accused of asking to meet the victim for an unlawful sexual encounter. The defendant is accused of sending lewd photographs, including one naked photo, of himself to the victim through text and online and requesting she send him naked photos of herself.

Jane Doe told her parents, who contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The Orange County Child Exploitation Task Force (OCCETF) investigated this case.

On Jan. 17, 2014, Bresyn is accused of scheduling to meet Jane Doe at the San Clemente Pier with the intention to have unlawful sexual intercourse with the victim. The defendant is accused of driving to the pier with condoms in his car. He was taken into custody by OCCETF.
