JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT OFFERS IMPORTANT TIPS FOR FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY TRAVEL
SANTA ANA, Calif. – John Wayne Airport (JWA) anticipates a busier-than-normal travel period from Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 8 during the Fourth of July holiday. Visitors to JWA during this time should be aware of ongoing construction at the Airport and adhere to all posted speed limits to ensure a safe holiday weekend. Passengers are reminded that fireworks are prohibited and should be left at home. A list of additional tips and prohibited items can be found at www.ocair.com/traveltips.
Currently, a portion of the Arrival (lower) Level roadway is narrowed to allow for construction on the pillars reinforcing the Departure (upper) Level roadway. JWA strongly encourages passengers to avoid the Arrival (lower) Level roadway and to drop-off/pick-up passengers on the Departure (upper) Level instead. Visitors waiting to pick up passengers can also take advantage of short-term, 2-hour parking available in Parking Structures A1, A2, B2 and C with the first 15 minutes of parking free, or $2/hour thereafter.
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and give themselves 90 minutes to two hours to find parking, check their luggage and go through the security checkpoint to reach their gates in time for their flights.
John Wayne Airport (SNA) is owned by the County of Orange and is operated as a self-supporting enterprise that receives no general fund tax revenue. The Airport serves approximately nine million passengers annually and reaches more than 20 non-stop destinations in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
