The OC Weekly’s Editor, Gustavo Arellano, got married to local business owner Delilah Snell yesterday in Downtown Santa Ana.

As one might imagine Gustavo’s friends were there for him and Delilah including culinary all-stars Roland Rubalcava, who provided tortas ahogadas/fideo seco, Carlos Salgado, who served aguachile, and Bricia Lopez and Fernando Marcos Lopez who brought a Michelada VW bus to the wedding.  And famous DJ Richard Blade was their spinning New Wave music along with DJ Yellow Blackbird who played cumbias.

Snell owns the Road Less Traveled store located at 125 North Broadway in DTSA.

Gustavo Arellano is the editor of OC Weekly, an alternative newspaper in Orange County, California, author of Orange County: A Personal History and Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America, and lecturer with the Chicana and Chicano Studies department at California State University, Fullerton. He writes “¡Ask a Mexican!,” a nationally syndicated column in which he answers any and all questions about America’s spiciest and largest minority. The column has a weekly circulation of over 2 million in 39 newspapers across the United States, won the 2006 and 2008 Association of Alternative Weeklies award for Best Column, and was published in book form by Scribner Press in May 2007. Delilah Snell’s bio:

Delilah is a master food preserver, award winning lecturer on environmental education and food sustainability and owner of the road less traveled store, a modern natural living and community education shop in santa ana, ca. a staunch supporter of the local food movement, delilah has worked closely with several local farms, non-profits and community groups in marketing, product development and event planning since 1998. delilah has been featured in sunset magazine, the los angeles times, grist and on the fine living network, nbc and kcrw.
