A patrol officer located an occupied stolen vehicle driving through Tustin late on Friday night, according to the Tustin Police Department.

The driver immediately fled from the officer onto the 55-Freeway. As additional officers were responding, the vehicle exited the freeway at a high rate of speed and crashed into the off-ramp’s bushes. The suspect immediately exited the vehicle and was located on foot in the bushes.

The suspect, who has priors for weapons charges, robbery, and assault, was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail.

Archie’s Towing utilized their wrecker to remove the vehicle which was lodged deep into the foliage.
