On Sunday, November 20, 2022, at approximately 4:00 A.M., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a pedestrian down on the roadway in the area of 2800 North Main Street.

Officers from the Santa Ana Police Department and the Orange City Fire Department responded to the scene and learned the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Orange City Fire Department personnel declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was walking west, crossing Main Street. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Main Street, which fled from the scene before officers arrived. The Santa Ana Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in providing a description of the vehicle and person/s involved.

The Santa Ana Police Department’s Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) is handling the investigation. Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact Cpl. N. Quinones at (714) 245-8216.
