The Anaheim Police Department received calls about a shooting today just past 2 a.m., at a location near Brookhurst and Ball Road.

The responding police officers found a man who had at least one gunshot.

A man was critically injured after a shooting took place in a parking lot in Anaheim Monday.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

The responding police officers also saw two individuals fleeing from area where the wounded man was found. The individuals were later detained and police investigators are trying to determine their involvement, if any, in the shooting.

The identity of gunshot victim remains unknown.

The Anaheim police investigators are continuing to investigate the apparent shooting.
