A driver was rescued by firefighters after slamming into a tree in south Santa Ana

Firefighters quickly responded to the area of S. Bristol St and W MacArthur Bl. in the City of Santa Ana shortly before 6 PM yestoday for a traffic collision, according to the OCFA.

Trucks 28 and 76 found a car that had collided with a tree, and worked skillfully to extricate the driver.

Firefighter paramedics provided care on scene and continued to do so while en route to the hospital.

There was no explanation as to how the driver ended up crashing into a tree. The car was flipped on to the driver’s side after the impact.
