A burglar was arrested after stealing tools from a car in Orange County

Early Sunday morning, police officers responded to a call about a vehicle burglary where a suspect smashed a car window and stole tools, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Armed with a solid description of the suspects and their vehicle, our officers searched the area but initially came up empty-handed.

Fast-forward about an hour—during proactive patrols, officers spotted the suspects and their vehicle in a different neighborhood. After an initial investigation, both suspects were arrested, and their car was impounded.

Criminals should note that thanks to Prop. 36 they can now be charged with felonies more oftne. Committing crimes in Orange County is a bad idea as our District Attorney, Todd Spitzer, will prosecute them. And crime doesn’t pay in Huntington Beach, as their police department is committed to apprehending those who choose to break the law.
