SANTA ANA, Calif. – A former mosque volunteer is scheduled to be arraigned today on additional charges for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl who came forward after seeing media coverage of prior sexual assaults. Ahmad Henry Osman, 54, Tustin, is charged with seven felony counts of performing lewd acts upon a child under the age of 14 and one felony count of oral copulation with a child 10 years or younger, with a sentencing enhancement allegation for multiple victims. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 105 years to life in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration. He is being held on $1 million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned this morning, Aug. 2, 2016, in Department C-5, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana.

Jane Doe 3
Between Nov. 19, 2007, and Feb. 25, 2015, on two separate occasions, Osman is accused of orally copulating 7-year-old Jane Doe 3 and touching the victim’s vagina at the IIC.
In March 2015, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office published a press release seeking potential additional victims of Osman. Jane Doe 3’s family contacted investigators after they heard of his arrest.
On or about Feb. 25, 2015, Osman is accused of entering a home where Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 victims were staying, under the guise of performing a daily prayer. He is accused of luring 9-year-old Jane Doe 1 into the room in which he was praying and performing lewd acts on her.
On the same day, but at a later time, the defendant is accused of performing lewd acts on 6-year-old Jane Doe 2.
Jane Doe 1 reported the crime to a family member and the Santa Ana Police Department, who investigated this case and arrested the defendant the next day on Feb. 26, 2015.
Ongoing investigation revealed that prior to Feb. 25, 2015, Osman is accused of luring Jane Doe 1 to her sibling’s room and sexually assaulting the victim. The defendant is accused of performing lewd acts on Jane Doe 1 in her bedroom during the same time period.
The investigation also revealed the defendant is accused of sexually assaulting Jane Doe 2 in her bedroom prior to Feb. 25, 2015.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Bokosky of the Sexual Assault Unit is prosecuting this case.
