In June of 2020, Tustin PD investigated a commercial burglary in the 17000 block of 17th Street.

Detectives developed a break in the case in December of 2020, identifying suspect Lynne Vanderwall.

Like Leonardo DiCaprio in Catch Me If You Can, Vanderwall had fraudulently assumed the identity of another person and engaged in forgery.

Vanderwall’s evasive luck ran out this week when Tustin PD Detectives located him and gifted him a matching set of shiny bracelets.

Vanderwall was booked into jail for possession of stolen property, forgery, assuming someone’s identity, resisting arrest, and other charges.
