The SAPD arrests Yorba Linda man for sexual abuse of a female relative

Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Santa Ana Police arrest man for continuous sexual abuse of a minor

On 01-08-14, Santa Ana Police Department was contacted by a 17-year-old Jane Doe and her mother came into the station to report she had been continuously sexually abused by a relative from the ages of 9-15. Investigation led to corroboration that the abuse took place. The suspect Felipe Martinez Ruiz (54) Yorba Linda, was located and arrested for multiple counts of child sexual abuse. During the interview, Ruiz confessed to the allegations and was booked into the SAPD Jail on the listed charges. Abuse took place in Santa Ana and Tustin.

Charges:

CPC 288 (a) lewd act with a minor
CPC 288 (C)(1) lewd act victim is a child of 14 or 15 years, and suspect is at least 10 years older than the child
CPC 288.5 Continuous Child Sexual Abuse
CPC 289 (I) Sexual Penetration person under 16
