The Fountain Valley Police are searching for a hit and run driver who was involved in a collision back on November 18, 2023.

Fountain Valley police officers responded to the scene of the collision at about 4:51 p.m., at the intersection of Ward Street and Calle Independencia, in Fountain Valley.

A white unknown model SUV was traveling north on Ward St. in the number one lane when it made a lane change into the number two lane, cutting off a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist veered to the right and struck a parked vehicle. The motorcyclist then fell off the bike into the path of the SUV, which ran over the victim.

The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old male resident of Orange, was transported to an area hospital with significant injuries and remains in stable condition.

The unknown SUV fled from the scene.

A preliminary investigation showed that the unkown SUV may have been a 2001-2007 white Toyota Highlander.

Any witnesses to the collision are encouraged to call the Fountain Valley Police Department’s Traffic Bureau at 714-593-4481. The police file number is DR 23-39740.
