On Monday, February 26, 2024, at approximately 1:17 p.m., Anaheim Police Officers responded to a residence on the 100 block of Spruce Via regarding a death investigation.

Upon Officers’ arrival, they entered the residence and located a 72-year-old woman deceased inside.

Detectives’ investigation revealed the woman had been assaulted and the Orange County Coroner’s Office determined her death was a homicide.

Over the course of 10 days, Homicide Detectives continued to work the case and identified Raymond Craft as the suspect responsible for the woman’s murder.

On Thursday, March 7, 2024, Anaheim Police Investigators located and arrested Craft in the City of Fullerton. Craft was booked for murder and remains in custody in lieu of one million dollars bail.

Detectives are not disclosing any additional details at this time and are not identifying the victim pending next-of-kin notification.
