Early on Thursday morning, while on patrol, police officers spotted a stolen vehicle, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

When they attempted to pull it over, the driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit. After a short chase, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief game of hide-and-seek, the driver was found tucked away under a truck. We guess it was a nice attempt, but not exactly a winning strategy!

Upon further investigation, it turns out the suspect had provided false information about his identity during booking. As if that wasn’t enough, he was found to have numerous warrants for serious crimes, including robbery, possession of a loaded firearm, and witness intimidation.
The suspect is now facing charges for stealing a vehicle, evading arrest, providing false information, and more.
So, what’s the moral of the story? Crime doesn’t pay in HB. Whether you‘re behind the wheel or hiding under one, we’re committed to apprehending those who choose to break the law.
