Santa Ana Police Department Advisory: Seeking public’s assistance in identifying a subject wanted in a child kidnaping and soliciting a child for lewd acts

The Santa Ana Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a subject wanted for questioning in a child kidnaping and soliciting a child for lewd acts investigation. Please direct the public to call Sex Crimes Detectives at (714) 245-8357 if they witnessed the crime or can provide information about the suspect.

Case Synopsis

On January 24, 2013, at 0610 AM, a 13-year-old female victim was walking to school. The suspect stopped his vehicle near the victim in the 2700 block of West Segerstrom, initially asking the victim if she would like a ride. The victim refused and continued walking. The suspect exited his vehicle, grabbed the victim’s wrist and forced her inside his vehicle. Once inside the suspect vehicle, the suspect made a series of sexually explicit comments and asked the victim to commit lewd acts. The suspect did not complete the lewd acts against the victim and the victim was dropped off in the parking lot of McFadden Intermediate School.

Suspect Description

Male, Hispanic, 35-45 years old, heavy build, black receding hairline, brown eyes. The suspect wore silver rimmed glasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and beige shorts. The suspect spoke both English and Spanish.

Suspect Vehicle: Newer dark blue 4-door sedan or hatchback.
