The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency is pleased to launch its annual “Neighborhood Block Beautification Contest (NBBC).” The contest is designed to encourage and promote community involvement in keeping Santa Ana a beautiful place to live, work and play. The NBBC will recognize and reward winning neighborhood blocks that have made aesthetically pleasing improvements.
No more than three blocks per Ward will be chosen. Each winning block will receive two elegantly designed, Santa Ana signs. One sign will be installed at each end of the block, commemorating the neighborhood block’s community pride. Also, each participating property of a winning block will receive one $100 gift card. A special unveiling of the signs and presentation of gift certificates will be made by the City Councilmember, City Manager and Executive Director of Public Works.
The NBBC is open to all residents. In order to qualify, 50% of the homes and/or multifamily complexes on a block must participate. The NBBC will only consider street facing landscaping and enhancements that increase the property’s curb appeal. Property enhancements must be for community beautification and include the parkway, front yard, fencing and exterior home. Condition of streets and sidewalk will not affect judging. The contest timeline is as follows:
• Application deadline is May 21, 2021
• Application review is May 21-31, 2021
• Judging will take place on June 1-7, 2021
• Results will be announced in July.

Concurso de embellecimiento de bloques de vecindarios
La Agencia de Obras Públicas de la Ciudad de Santa Ana se complace en lanzar su “Concurso anual de embellecimiento de bloques de vecindarios (NBBC) ”.
