On July 14, 2023, at 01:59 a.m., Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a residence in the city of Moreno Valley regarding a missing 15-year-old juvenile. The juvenile was located a short time later, incoherent, and displayed signs of intoxication. The juvenile was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect, identified as Emmanuel Sosa, a 21-year-old resident of Santa Ana, provided the juvenile with illegal substances and sexually assaulted the juvenile.

The Santa Ana Police Department was notified of the investigation. They located and detained Sosa in Santa Ana. Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Investigators responded, arrested Sosa and transported him to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Sosa was ultimately booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for lewd acts with a minor and contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sex crime.
