SAPD police officers responded to a call of a robbery at a drugstore in Santa Ana on Wednesday evening, March 16, just after 8:45 p.m. and the suspects fled in a vehicle.

The suspects ended up on the 5 Freeway, heading north, when they crashed and their vehicle overturned beside a 5 Freeway off-ramp near Magnolia Avenue in Fullerton.

Police do not believe that the car came into contact with any police vehicle although the cause of the crash was remains under investigation.

Incredibly two of the people believed to be in the car were able to flee from the accident, on foot. They remain outstanding.

The SAPD is not yet clear if any of the suspects were inured or or what exactly was taken from the drugstore.

Police didn’t immediately disclose the location of the store that was robbed.

The investigation was ongoing.
