AT&T Aspire collaborates with Roadtrip Nation to bring Career Awareness to students at Valley High School with Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez

AT&T Aspire-funded expansion of Roadtrip Nation curriculum and events empower 15,000+ students at-risk of not graduating, with culminating presentation in Santa Ana, California

What: On June 8, 2015, from 8:30 – 10:30 am at Valley High School, Roadtrip Nation, an organization that helps students connect the dots between their personal interests, education, and real world career opportunities, will bring its iconic Green RV for a live event in Santa Ana, California, accompanied by Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, who will be speak about her personal experiences growing up in the area and achieving a career in public service.

The presentation celebrates the adoption of the Roadtrip Nation Experience curriculum and empowers the students with strategies to define their own roads and pave successful professional paths.

Career exploration will come to life at the event with diverse speakers including Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, AT&T Regional VP Richard Porras, and community business leader Abel Sanchez, plus premiere footage screened from the popular PBS show, and interactive activities that will get students excited about their futures.

The curriculum engages students in self-reflection exercises to help identify their interests. Roadtrip Nation’s vast interview archive, which contains video interviews with hundreds of successful real-world leaders spanning every industry, provides students the opportunity to learn the steps each of these leaders took to bring them to where they are today. Interviews range from CEO of AT&T Randall Stephenson to Grammy winner John Legend.

AT&T Aspire, the company’s signature education initiative, contributed $1.5 million to Roadtrip Nation this year, enabling the organization to engage more than 15,000 students across the country during the 2014-2015 school year.
