SANTA ANA, Calif. – Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer issued the following statement regarding the beating of two Marines at the San Clemente Pier:

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has arrested five juveniles in connection with attacking two United States Marines over Memorial Day Weekend at the San Clemente Pier. Per Welfare and Institutions Code Section 827, the District Attorney’s Office is prohibited from discussing anything related to juvenile prosecutions.

Violence of any kind will not be tolerated by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and acts of violence committed by anyone regardless of age will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
