OC mom tracks down stolen e-bike and police officers arrested the suspect

Earlier this week, a suspect thought they could make a quick getaway with an unsecured e-bike outside a store, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Well, he didn’t get far. Thanks to the victim’s mom tracking the bike’s location, the HBPD officers swooped in, recovered the bike, and arrested the suspect for grand theft.

With all the tracking technology out there these days, stealing isn’t just wrong—it’s downright foolish. Not in Huntington Beach, buddy!

Thanks to Prop. 36 this suspect is now looking at felony charges and a lengthy prison stay. Well, at least he will get free room and board and health care while he rots in a State prison…
