Recently, a resident went for a walk with their dog and left their garage door open. When they returned home, a suspect was walking out of their house with property they had stolen, according to the Irvine Police Department.

Irvine patrol officers quickly flooded the area and were able to find and arrest the burglar.

Irvine has had 26 thefts from garages this year. In this case, to make matters worse, the thief went into the house. The Irvine Police ask that you please secure your residence, no matter how long you will be gone.
