Are you ready for the solar eclips that is coming on April 8?

The Monday, April 8, 2024, total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The total solar eclipse will begin over the South Pacific Ocean. Weather permitting, the first location in continental North America that will experience totality is Mexico’s Pacific coast at around 11:07 a.m. PDT, according to NASA.

The bad news is that fake solar eclipse glasses are all over the place! If you use those you run the risk of going blind or at least severely damaging your eyes.

A better option is starting on April 6, you can pick up a pair of solar eclipse glasses at any Orange County Public Library branch! One per person, while supplies last. Find a location here: ocpl.org/libraries.
