Buena Park – The OCFA’s Emergency Command Center received calls for a fire in an industrial building in the 6700 block of 8th St. at 7:03 this morning.

Engine 13 was the first-arriving unit and found smoke showing from an industrial building. They established command and upgraded the incident to a working structure fire.

The firefighters were challenged with forcible entry issues and high-piled storage, which made it difficult and dangerous to get to the seat of the fire.

With a coordinated attack through multiple divisions, the firefighters were able to isolate the fire and prevent its spread to adjacent units.

One firefighter did sustain a minor injury and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

The OCFA fire investigators were on scene but a cause has not been determined yet.

Assistance was provided by Anaheim Fire & Rescue and the Fullerton Fire Department.
