Early this morning, Fountain Valley police officers responded to the 17300 block of Euclid Avenue regarding a possible domestic disturbance.

Once on scene, the police officers contacted a male subject who was holding a large knife and refusing to listen to officers’ requests.

Out of an abundance of caution, residents in the area were asked to voluntarily evacuate as officers continued de-escalation attempts.

After approximately three hours, the subject was taken into custody and booked into Orange County Jail for outstanding warrants.
