The Orange Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of an unidentified man outside a home in Orange that occurred early on Sunday morning, Nov. 28.

Police officers responded to the home, at the 2000 block of East Fairway Drive, at about 12 midnight. They found an injured man outside the residence. He had one gunshot wound.

The man died at the scene. The Orange police do not believe he lived at that address.

The shooting occurred near the Rehabilitation Institute of Southern California, which offers comprehensive therapeutic services and programs for physically disabled persons of all ages to include childcare, early intervention, adult day care (and health daycare), aquatics, independent living skills training, social services, PT, OT, speech and vocational services.

The victim’s identity has not been released yet.

The Orange Police do not yet know of a potential motive for the fatal shooting. Nor do they have any idea as to the suspect in the shooing.
