Advisory: SAPD Homicide Detectives arrest three suspects in Attempted Homicide Case

Arrested:

1. Gregorio Dominguez Negrete (22) Santa Ana
2. Steven Orejel (20) Santa Ana
3. Male Juvenile (16) Santa Ana

On 06-17-14, at approximately 6 P.M. a male victim was riding a bicycle in the area of 1700 E. Borchard when he was confronted by three suspects in a vehicle. The suspects exited their vehicle and physically assaulted the victim. The victim was treated by OCFA at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he is currently in the intensive care unit.

CAP/Homicide detectives responded to handle the investigation. Based on information obtained during their investigation detectives identified the three suspects, two adults and a juvenile. On 6-18-14 Detectives arrested the suspects at their residences in connection with the assault. All three have been booked for attempted murder charges. Detectives are investigating this crime as a possible gang related crime.
