On January 17, 2017 at about 11 p.m. SAPD police officers responded to reports of a shooting and a person shot and injured at the area of 3700 W. 11th Street in Santa Ana, according to SAPD Case #17-01618.

When the police officers arrived they obtained evidence of a shooting and found evidence that someone had been shot but they did not locate a victim at the time.

The shooting happened in Santa Ana’s Ward 3, which is now represented by Councilman Jose Solorio.

Also on January 17, 2017 at about 9:30 p.m., SAPD police officers were dispatched to a local hospital regarding gunshot victim that arrived and said he was shot in Santa Ana, according to SAPD Case #17-01609.

The male adult victim said he was somewhere on Lacy Street walking when he heard gunshots and was shot. A good Samaritan he flagged down drove him to the hospital.
