Correa to host a higher education and career development program on June 4

Please join State Senator Lou Correa and the Young Senators program for a Young Senate session on Higher Education and Career Development, on June 4, from 8 am to 1 pm, at Coastline Community College, located at 12901 Euclid, in Garden Grove.

The program will include the following workshop topics:

college application process
life as a college student
career paths: military, vocational
training, law, public safety, health, etc.
job interviewing & resume building
internships & scholarship opportunities

This event is free to all high school students & their parents. Light snacks & refreshments will be provided. space is limited.

5th Annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference

Event Date: Friday 25 March 2011

Coastline will host the 5th Annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm at the Garden Grove Center. Click here for a map and directions.

Event is open to all high school students interested in Leadership development.

Coastline Community College (CCC) and the Orange County LULAC Foundation have embarked upon a Latino/a Hispanic Youth Leadership Academy collaborative partnership. The purpose of the joint venture between the two organizations is to initiate a lasting academic relationship that will identify and promote Latino/a Hispanic Youth in Leadership Development.

The Orange County League of United Latino American Citizens (LULAC) Foundation is hosting a welcoming reception for the president of Coastline Community College, Dr. Lori Adria.

The reception will be held on Thursday, December 16 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Casa Garcia Restaurant located at 531 West Chapman Street, Anaheim, CA 92802

Your attendance to this reception will demonstrate LULAC’s precense in the community and it strong support for the obtainment of higher education for our Latino Youth.

Senator Correa Pathways to Higher Education Conference 2009

State Senator Lou Correa is conducting a free conference for current high school students and their parents. The Pathways to Higher Education Conference will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, from 9 am to 1 pm, at Coastline Community College, located at 12901 Euclid St., in Garden Grove. Registration and Breakfast begin at 8:30 am.

The program includes a legislative update and informative workshops on how to prepare for college, leadership skills building, money management and financial aid, Cal Grants, community activism and much more! Continue reading→
