In the early morning hours of September 19th, police fficers were dispatched to a local storage unit facility after getting a call about a male suspectseen within the complex with a crowbar, according to the Tustin Police Department.

Recognizing crime may be afoot, a Tustin Police drone operator quickly arrived on the scene and located the subject within the complex.

The suspect was confronted by arriving officers and of course he ran further into the complex.

The suspect however would soon find out that you cannot hide from an overhead drone with thermal imaging.

The suspect, Roy Meza, was apprehended as he fled through adjacent residential backyards.

The ensuing police investigation revealed Meza had utilized burglary tools to break into 16 storage units within the facility.

Meza was booked at Orange County Jail for burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest, narcotics violations, and numerous warrants
