Community Alert: DRAFT HARBOR MIXED USE CORRIDOR PLAN PROPOSES A NEW VISION FOR HARBOR BLVD. WITH NEW HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES

The City of Santa Ana is committed to identifying opportunities for urban and transit-oriented mixed-use development and more affordable housing along key transit corridors such as Harbor Boulevard.

The Draft Harbor Mixed Use Corridor Plan proposes a new vision, through polices and design guidelines that promote:

• Housing and mixed-use development opportunities
• Economic vitality and new opportunities for businesses and residents
• Transportation choices, particularly pedestrian and bicycle
• A sense of place
• Community health and wellness

Recommendation for certification of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and adoption of the new Harbor Corridor Plan will be considered at the Santa Ana Planning Commission public hearing on August 25, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the location below:

The Draft Harbor Corridor Plan and Environmental Impact Report that evaluates the potential impacts of the new land use vision are available for viewing on line, or at the Santa Ana Main Library (26 Civic Center Plaza) and City Hall Planning Counter (20 Civic Center Plaza).
