Garden Grove – Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle traffic collision at 5:01 this morning in the area of Dale St and Chapman Ave., according to the OCFA.

On their arrival, Engine 82 found one car involved in fire with a woman trapped inside with power lines down. An officer from GGPD and a deputy from OCSD were using their portable fire extinguishers to keep the fire at bay until our arrival.

E82 firefighters quickly deployed a hose line to extinguish the fire while trying to extricate the passenger -and Truck 85 utilized their “Jaws of Life” to extricate the woman.

She was treated by firefighter paramedics and transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver, an adult male, had self-extricated and was treated and transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The other driver declined treatment and transportation.
