On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 10:02 P.M., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a pedestrian down in traffic lanes in the area of Warner Avenue and Brookhollow Drive.

SAPD Officers along with Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to the scene, where they located the pedestrian in the roadway. OCFA pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed the pedestrian was crossing Warner Ave., east of the intersection of Brookhollow Dr. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Warner Ave. The involved vehicle fled the scene and has not been located. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
