The Orange County Registrar of Voters’ Office will be mailing sample ballots to City of Santa Ana registered voters in coming days for the upcoming June 7, 2016 Presidential Primary Election.
It’s very important to verify how you’re registered – especially in a primary election. Why? Because some parties will not allow No Party Preference (NPP) voters (formally known as “Decline to State”) to vote in their primary election, such as the Republicans, Peace and Freedom and Green parties. For example, you must be registered Republican to receive a ballot with their candidates listed, otherwise that option will not be provided. Continue reading
