The Fountain Valley Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and Detective Bureau executed a search warrant in reference to a marijuana grow.

Phuong Tran and Tien Tran were contacted as they left the residence. During the search, a total of 230 marijuana plants (immature/mature) were discovered.

Southern California Edison responded to the scene shortly thereafter and located an electrical bypass in an exterior storage room. SCE determined there was a financial loss of approximately $70,000.00.

Phuong and Tien were ultimately arrested and booked into Orange County Jail (OCJ) for marijuana cultivation and theft of utility services.
