The SAPD is searching for two men who beat up a victim at a 7-Eleven store

On January 15th, at around 7:15 pm, two suspects attacked a victim at the parking lot of the 7-Eleven located at 400 N. Grand Ave., according to the SAPD.

They struck the victim with a metal object, causing him to fall, then continued the assault. S#1 then ripped a gold chain from the victim’s neck and stole his wallet containing approximately $700.

Both suspects fled in a 2012-2015 black, Chevy Malibu.

Suspect Description:

  • SUSPECT : Hispanic male, 5’8”, heavyset, wearing a black face mask, black Nike hoodie, blue Nike sweatpants, and white/blue Nike shoes
  • SUSPECT : Hispanic male, 5’11”, thin build, light complexion, with an NFL Raiders logo tattoo on his neck. He was dressed in all black (not pictured)

  1. There’s more crime in this parking lot alone than in some smaller cities. Same with the 7-11 at Main and Dyer. I’m sure some wealthy real estate developer owns the land and sits a gated mansion in Newport Beach collecting rent checks before going out to the Yacht Club for dinner and drinks while talking about the long-lost value of hard honest work. Maybe we need a way to hold landowners who have private property open to the public at least partially accountable for what goes on there. Santa Ana has more slumlords than it needs.

  2. I STOPPED going to that 7-11 store on Grand Ave & 4th Street years ago even since I saw 2 store clerks fighting as they yell at each other & punched back n’ forth. I got terrified about the fight dropped the items & left. I’m NEVER returning to that 7-11 NOT even if I’m starving let alone thirsty
