SAPD police officers who were investigating local prostitution made contact with a 16-year-old just before 7 a.m. on March 9, 2019, at Harbor Boulevard at Hazard Avenue. The teenager was turned over to social workers for assistance. The teen’s tips led the police officers right to Malveaux, who was found about 8:15 a.m. the next day at a local motel.
